RHSRNbc 2022 Virtual Research Symposium: Resilient Transformation of Rural Communities in BC

The Rural Health Services Research Network of BC (RHSRNbc) welcomes students, researchers, community members, educators, and health professionals to take part in the 2022 Virtual Research Symposium on May 25 & 26 from 9AM – 12PM PDT.

This year, the symposium will be held on Zoom with a focus on understanding the resiliency and transformation of rural communities from several perspectives, including physicians, community members, and Indigenous Peoples. The goal of our symposium is to build rural community resilience through relationships and the following objectives:

1. Explore rural community resiliency in the face of climate change and the COVID-19 pandemic, informed by perspectives from the CCEDARR study.
2. Consider system transformation in response to changing conditions and ecosystem disruptions from multiple perspectives (including but not limited to health) and generate recommendations.
3. Investigate the implications of these understandings and recommendations on our activities as researchers, educators, and planners. How do we go forward? How will we transform in ways that make sense?
